amendment to the draft of the environmental impact report for the Pleasanton Water Quality Control Program; and ~EREAS, at its meeting of June 23, 1975, the City Council con- sidered the environmental impact reports for both alterna- tives and certified that they comprised the final environ- mental impact reports; and WHEREAS, subsequent to said consideration and certification, the City was advised that a change had been made to the method of disposal of effluent for alternative 5-b; and WHEREAS, it was deemed advisable to resubmit alternative 5-b for comment by interested public agencies and the general public with the proposed changed method of sewage effluent disposal as well as related changes to said alternative; and WHEREAS, at the termination of the con~nent period (July 21, 1975 to September 15, 1975) additional comments were received from Zone 7 and Alameda County Water District; and WHEREAS, the comments by Zone 7 and Alameda County Water District were addressed in an amend~nent to Volume 6 of the draft environmental impact report; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City Council to evaluate the environmental impact report for alternative 5-b and to certify that it comprises the final environmental im~p~ct report for alternative 5-b as required by the provisions of the Guidelines and Procedures for the Review of Projec~ in the City of Pleasanton (said guidelines having been adopted in compliance with and consistent with the guide- lines promulgated by the Secretary for Resources; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received a summary of the impacts which the project will have upon the environment together with mitigation measures related to said impacts, which w~ reviewed by staff with Council prior to taking action on this resolution; and -3-
