B. Tuition shall be reimbursed in the amount and at the rate <br /> <br />for internal degrees levied by Hayward State University at the time of <br />the employee's enrollment in the courses for which tuition reimbursement <br />is requested. However, the maximum amount of tuition reimbursement <br />shall not exceed $300.00 per year per employee. <br /> <br /> Tuition reimbursement shall not be received for any individual <br /> (or class) not successfully completed with a grade of "C" or <br /> <br />courses <br />better, <br /> <br /> D. <br /> <br /> Employees submitting requests for tuition reimbursement shall <br />provide the Personnel Officer an official receipt from the college or <br />university verifying the payment of tuition and an official transcript <br />of the grades received for which tuition is requested. <br /> <br />IX. Book Reimbursement <br /> <br />Employees enrolled in the Educational Incentive Plan shall be eligible <br />for the reimbursement of the books required for those classes taken <br />as part of their approved educational program. The amount reimbursed <br />shall be the purchase price of the books less the monies received from <br />their resale. No reimbursement for books shall be received for any <br />class not successfully completed with a grade of "C" or better. <br /> <br />Employees submitting requests for reimbursement for books shall submit <br />to the Personnel Officer the original purchase receipt in addition to <br />the receipt showing the monies received through resale of said books. <br /> <br />If, however, the books are determined by the Personnel Officer to be <br />an asset to the City, the Personnel Officer may elect at his discretion <br />to reimburse the employee the full cost of said books, the latter be- <br />coming the possession of the City. The Personnel Officer's decision <br />regarding the purchase of textbooks shall be final. <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br /> <br />
