One Hundred Twenty (120) <br />semester hour units to in- <br />clude: a minimum of 60 <br />upper division semester <br />hour units and - a minimum <br />of 48 semester hour units <br />in a major field of study <br />of which a minimum of 24 <br />semester hour units must <br />be upper division courses <br /> <br />Firefighter <br />Fire Lieutenant <br />Fire Captain <br /> <br />5% <br /> <br />NOTE: The above educational levels are not cumulative. The maximum <br />educational incentive pay received by a single employee shall not exceed <br />5%; nor shall an employee receive incentive pay for more than one edu- <br />cational level at the 2-1/2% rate nor more than one educational level <br />at the 5% rate. <br /> <br />VI. <br /> <br />Documentation of Educational Achievement <br /> <br />A. Evidence of successful completion of a degree or certificate <br /> <br />shall consist of either of the following: <br /> <br /> 1. Diploma or certificate indicating the major field of <br /> study. <br /> <br /> 2. Letter from the college registrar certifying award of <br /> <br /> the degree or certificate and the major field of study.. <br /> <br /> B. Evidence of completion of the required accredited semester <br /> <br />units or quarter hour equivalents may consist of any of the following: <br /> 1. College transcript of grades. <br /> <br /> 2. Official grade slips from each of the courses. <br /> <br /> 3. Letter from the college registrar certifying the com- <br /> pletion Of each course with a grade of "C" or better. <br /> <br />vii. Effective Date of Educational Incentive Pay <br /> <br />This Educational Incentive Pay Plan shall be effective July 1, 1977. <br /> <br />VIII. Tuition Reimbursement <br /> <br /> A.
