e) <br /> <br />Number and Types of Floats: <br />The application indicates that a total of 150 entries will <br />participate. (In past years, there have been approximately <br />20 floats, with the remaining entries being bands and other <br />types of units. <br /> <br />f) <br /> <br />Concessionnaires and Vendors: <br />The Pleasanton Lions Club has indicated on the application that <br />stationary (no roving) locations will sell drinks and food. <br />The Department of Public Safety has several conditions related <br />to concessionnaires and vendors, which are included in this <br />report. <br /> <br />g) <br /> <br />Hold Harmless Clause: <br />Ben Fernandez, representative of the Lions Club, has signed the <br />Hold Harmless Clause included as a part of the application. <br /> <br />Department of Public Safety Recommended Conditions <br />Members of the City Staff have met with representatives of the Lions <br />Club and the Fair. The Department of Public Safety has prepared a <br />list of recommended conditions that the applicant should be required <br />to meet if the permit is granted. <br /> <br />1. Adequate restroom facilities: <br /> <br />a) Two (2) restrooms at forming area (Amador High School) <br /> <br />b) Two (2) restrooms at St. John and Main Street. <br /> <br />c) Two (2) restrooms at Rose and Main Street. <br /> <br />2. Provide ambulance stand-by services. <br /> <br />3. Provide minimum of 2 first aid stations. <br /> <br />Provide program for handling lost children. <br /> <br />Provide adequate number of people for parade traffic control and <br />direction in forming area and disbanding area: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />An adult from the parade sponsors or organization will man <br />the barricades at the intersection of Rose at Fair. This <br />person will move barricade aside to allow a parade vehicle <br />to leave the disbanding area and then re-set the barricade <br />to prevent access into the disbanding area on Rose Avenue. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Horses will be allowed to proceed single file out of the <br />disbanding area, westward along Rose Avenue to the Gate 9 <br />parking lot area of the Fairgrounds. <br /> <br />Members of bands will disband and proceed back to their <br />respective transportation units as individuals and by use <br />of the sidewalks. <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
