'q, CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> S T FF / C A <br /> EPOBT .. <br /> <br />October 18, 1978 <br /> <br />HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL <br />Pleasanton, California <br /> <br />Lions Club's Application for a Parade Permit <br /> <br />Members of the Council: <br /> <br />Introduction <br />The Pleasanton Lions Club has submitted an application for a parade <br />permit to sponsor the 1978 Alameda County Fair Parade. Although the <br />proposed date of the parade is June 25, 1978, (8 months from now), <br />the applicant feels the long lead time is required to make the nec- <br />essary arrangements. <br /> <br />'Application <br />A copy of the Lions Club application, <br />attached. <br /> <br />signed by Ben Fernandez, is <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Date and Time: <br />As shown on the.application, the parade is scheduled for <br />June 25, 1978, (Sunday) starting at 12:00 Noon and ending <br />at 3:00 P.M. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Route: <br />The applicant has selected Route No. 1 of the two alternative <br />routes approved by City Council Resolution. A diagram of that <br />route is shown on page 4 of the application. The parade will <br />form at Amador High School and proceed south on Santa Rita <br />Road, continue on Main Street and turn west onto Rose Avenue. <br />The parade will disband on Rose Avenue after crossing Pleasanton <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Other Events in Coordination with the Parade: <br />Since the parade is not scheduled until next June, final details <br />are not complete at this time. However, other events will pro- <br />bably be planned in conjunction with the parade. <br /> <br />d) <br /> <br />Insurance Coverage: <br />The applicant has stated on the application that insurance <br />coverage of $1,000,000 for personal injury and $1,000,000for <br />property damage will be provided. <br /> <br />SR 77:68 <br /> <br /> <br />
