d) <br /> <br />The south side of Rose Avenue alongside the Fairgrounds is <br />kept free of parked vehicles, floats, etc. so that one way <br />traffic westbound and emergency vehicle access into the <br />disbanding area is maintained. This will allow parade <br />units anywhere along the disbanding area a rout~ to leave <br />by, at such time as they are prepared to do so. <br /> <br />Provide communication between Public Safety Command Post and <br />Parade Command Post. <br /> <br />Provide process for eliminating illegal or disqualified parade <br />entires. <br /> <br />Lions Club will be responsible for all concession stands along <br />route: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Locate stands in only those areas designated by Department <br />of Public Safety. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Make arrangements with property owners to locate stands on <br />private property. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Provide vendors with identification which shows authorization <br />to operate concession. <br /> <br />All safety regulations concerning floats, vehicles and self <br />propelled units will be publicized by the Lions Club to partici- <br />pants. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />All above conditions plus all other conditions imposed by Ordin- <br />ance or the City Council must be met and approved not later than <br />7 days before the parade is held. <br /> <br />Reimbursement of City Expense Related to the Parade <br />The parade ordinance (No. 771) requires the applicant to reimburse <br />the City the additional expense due to the parade or the City Council <br />to approve an adjustment to the City Budget to cover the additional <br />cost. <br /> <br />The additional cost to the City is estimated by the staff to be ap- <br />proximately $1,710.00. <br /> <br />Personnel Cost - Overtime <br /> Police Department <br /> Field Services <br /> Total Personnel <br /> <br />$1,410. <br /> 175. <br /> <br />$1,585. <br /> <br />Rental of 500 Traffic Cones <br /> Total City cost of Parade <br /> <br />125. <br /> <br />$1,710. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
