RALPH ANDERSEN AND ASSOCIATES <br /> <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AGREEMENT <br /> <br />Ralph Andersen and Associates agrees to provide the following services to the <br />City of Pleasanton in conjunction with their recruitment for the position of <br />Police Chief: <br /> <br />Meet with the City Manager and'others as may be appropriate <br />for purposes of determining the concept of the position and <br />what personal and other qualifications are most important <br />for applicants to possess. <br /> <br />2. Prepare and place advertisements for the position of'Police <br /> Chief in appropriate publications. <br /> <br />3. Prepare a list of outstanding potential applicants for the <br /> position of Police 'Chief. <br /> <br />Prepare a letter of invitation to each potential applicant, <br />and personally follow up the letter by discussing the overall <br />job opportunity with each person invited to apply. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Review all applications. <br /> <br />Conduct appropriate background checks, other than police and <br />credit checks. <br /> <br />Brief the City Manager and others as may be appropriate <br />regarding the nature of all applications received, and <br />overall screening results.
