WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Recon~nendations 1, 2 and 3 of GP-80-8 relate directly <br />to the general plan amendment request of Stoneson <br />Development Company filed under case GP-81-2; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Recommendations 7, 8 and 9 of GP-80-8 relate directly <br />to a general plan amendment request of Prudential <br />Insurance Company filed under case GP-81-1; and <br /> <br />WItEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council desires to make comprehensive changes <br />to the Land Use/Circulation Elements of the General <br />Plan at this time as one of the three times during <br />the calendar year such changes may be made. <br /> <br />NOW, TtlEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council takes the following action with <br /> respect to the 22 Committee proposed changes; <br /> <br />a. Approves the following changes: <br /> <br />Recommendation No. 5. Change the portion of the <br />G. E. Vallecitos property not occupied by structures <br />from "Industrial" to "Agriculture and Grazing," <br />roughly 186 acres. <br /> <br />Recommendation No. 11. Change the two underdeveloped <br />parcels totalling 8.6 acres located on the north side <br />of Valley Avenue immediately west of the Valley Plaza <br />Shopping Center from "Medium Density Residential" to <br />"High Density Residential." <br /> <br />Recommendation No. 12. Change the 9.3 acre parcel <br />on the south side of Valley Avenue immediately west <br />of the Amador Shopping Center from "Parks and Recrea- <br />tion" to "High Density Residential." <br /> <br />Recommendation No. 17. Relocate the 30 acre park <br />shown along Martin Avenue to the area west of <br />Oakland Avenue and make it five acres in size. <br /> <br />Recommendation No. 20. Change the BART alignment <br />to make it parallel to or within the 1-580 right-of-way <br />for its entire length through the planning area, show <br />a station located near the Stoneridge Shopping Center, <br />and another station located near Santa Rita Road or <br />further east. <br /> <br />Recommendation No. 21. Realign the frontage road <br />paralleling 1-580 between Old Santa Rita Road and <br />Santa Rita Road so that it extends approximately <br />through the middle of the 50 acre parcel located <br />at the southwest corner of 1-580 and Santa Rita Road. <br /> <br /> <br />
