Pay <br /> <br />The salary ranges for all employees in the Fire Employees <br />Union as set forth below represent, for each classification, <br />the standard rate of pay for full-time employment and <br />represent the total compensation due employees, except for <br />overtime compensation and other benefits specifically <br />provided by the City. When circumstances warrant, the' <br />Fire Chie~ may authorize original appointment or reln~ <br />statement at other than ~he minimum rate. <br /> <br />Conversion of Pay'Rates <br /> <br />Any monthly rate of pay may be'converted into any equiva- <br />lent rate of pay or to any other time basis when, in the <br />judgment of the City Manager, such a conversion~is advisable. <br />In determining the equivalent amounts on different time <br />basis, the City Manager shall provide tables for use in <br />converting monthly salaries to hourly rates, as well as <br />for calculating hourly rates. ~ <br /> <br />Salar9 Advancement <br /> <br />Employees serving in regular established positions shall <br />be advanced from the "A" Step to the/"B" Step in their <br />respective.classifications after completion of twelve <br />(12) months of full-time satisfactory service, and <br />thereafter shall be advancedto ~e next higher step <br />after completion of one (1) year of full-time satis- <br />factory service, in each of th~z;salary steps for the <br />classification until the top of the range is reached. <br /> <br /> <br />
