Establish Goals and Objectives <br /> In this task, Contractor will assist the Chief of <br />the Fire Department in setting fire protection/~.~S goals and <br />objectives for the City by suggesting candidate goals and <br />objectives and supporting the decision making process. <br /> 4. Establish Fire Protection/EllS Requirements <br /> The capability of the Pleasanton fire protection/EMS <br />system to meet current and projected requirements will be evaluated <br />in this task. This evaluation will be based upon the established <br />goals and objectives (Task 3) and will identify the deficiencies <br />(and strengths) of the present system, as compared to current <br />and projected requirements. <br /> 5. Recon~nend Alternative System Configuration <br /> <br /> The Contractor project team will identify and describe <br /> <br />alternative system configurations and specific improvements which <br />are necessary to meet the requirements (Task 4) and, thus, the goals <br />and objectives. Each alternative description will include the <br />results of a comparative analysis and Contractor's recommendations. <br /> One or more alternatives (as appropriate) will be <br />provided for each system component, including: <br /> <br /> fire protection requirements associated with land use <br /> fire protection/life safety codes, inspection, and <br /> enforcement <br /> built-in protection <br /> public education <br /> -3- <br /> <br /> <br />
