CONSULTANT AGREES~,NT FOR FIRE <br /> PROTECTION Ai]D EMS PLAN <br /> <br /> This agreement, effective the day of , <br /> <br />1981, by and between the CITY OF PLEASAi.]TON, (hereinafter called <br />the "City"), and RYLAND RESEARCH, INCORPORATED, (hereinafter <br />called the "Contractor"), <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> <br /> ~.~EREAS, the City has identified the need to prepare a <br />comprehensive fire protection and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) <br />plan for the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> I.~EP~AS, it is intended that the preparation of the plan <br />will be undertaken by an interactive team consisting of representa- <br />tives of the City and Contractor; and <br /> WHEREAS, the final product of this project will be an <br />implementation plan for the selected fire protection/EMS system <br />based upon the results of project tasks; and <br /> <br /> I~HEREAS, the City has determined that the Contractor is <br />well-qualified, knowledgeable and experienced in research, analysis <br />and planning for municipal fire protection/EMS services. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties mutually agree, as follows: <br /> <br />I. Contractor will provide fire protection/EMS research, analysis, <br /> and planning services generally described as follows: <br /> A. Tasks <br /> 1. Prepare Work Plan <br /> The first step in the study will be to meet with the <br />Chief of the Pleasanton Fire Department to discuss all project <br />activities and associated schedules. This information will be <br />used to prepare a detailed work plan ~hich contains: <br /> a. a detailed description of project activities <br /> b. responsibilities of Contractor and the City <br /> (e.g., provision of information) <br /> <br /> c. a detailed project schedule <br /> d. identification of intermediate and final study <br /> products. <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
