RESOLUTION NO. 2025-16 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON ADOPTING THE INITIAL STUDY/MITIGATED NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION (IS/MND) FOR THE APPLICATION SUBMITTED BY <br />WILLIAM WOOD ARCHITECTS FOR HANA JAPAN RESTAURANT, FILED <br />UNDER CASE NO. P22-0902 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on November 3, 2022, William Wood Architects applied for a design review <br />approval for the construction of an approximately 6,445-square-foot <br />restaurant (Hana Japan) with on- and off-site improvements for the property <br />located at 11991 Dublin Canyon Road (APN 941-1710-10-1) ; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Property is designated Retail/Highway/Service Commercial and <br />Business and Professional Offices <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Property is zoned Central Commercial (C-C) District on <br />zoning map; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 21080.1 of CEQA and Guidelines Section 15063, an <br />Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) was prepared to <br />analyze the impacts of the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is the lead agency on the Project, and the Planning <br />Commission is the decision-making body for the proposed approval of the <br />Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public meeting of July 23, 2025, the Planning <br />Commission considered the written agenda report, all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits, and staff recommendations. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE <br />FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Prior to taking action on the Project, and at a properly noticed public <br />meeting, the Planning Commission reviewed written and oral staff report, conducted a <br />public hearing on the Project and took testimony, and received into the record all <br />pertinent documents related to the Pro <br />incorporated into this Resolution by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. Findings for California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />With respect to CEQA, the Planning Commission finds it has independently reviewed <br />and analyzed the Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared by Raney <br />Planning and Management, Inc. for the Project.
