It wa~'moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Gerton that Resolutioa No. 70-166, adopting the recommendations of procedure and limits for granting co-sponsored status and financial subsidies to volunteer program organi- zations as outlined in Recreation and Parks Resolution No, R-70-10, dated March 31, 1970, be adopted. Disposals Councilman Getton asked Mr. Campbell to research the "garbage maker"' further and also to find out the price of this machine. Matters for the Information of the Council Mr. Fales stated that he had forwarded a letter from Mr. Walt Toney, East Bay Regional Park District, dated July 14, 1970, to the Director of Recreation, re- garding the status of Shadow Cliffs Park for the Council's information. Mr. Fales advised the Council that the reports regarding the attendance records of both the Planning and the Recreation and Park Commissions have been forwarded for the Council's information. Mr. Fales reported that the City earned $1,360.75 from the Pleasanton City Employees Association Parking Lot during the 1970 Fair. Mr. Fales stated that a report from the Sewage Treatment Plant Manager, dated July 13, 1970, regarding the educational development of the employees in that Division has been forwarded for the Council's information. REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY There were no reports from the City Attorney. COMMUNICATIONS There ~ere no conmmnications read at this meeting, CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS Mayor Reid reported on a meeting he and Mr. Fa!es artended las~ Friday with the Leagueof California Cities staff in Sacramento. He stated this meeting dealt with Pleasanton's 19-point Air Pollution report. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS There were no matters initiated by Councilmen at this meeting, 'MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Mr. Victor Bailey~ 4565 Black Avenue, asked the Council why members of the audience could not express their opinions on issues they were concerned about. Mayor Reid stated that they would be allowed to make a few comments if they would submit a request form to the City Clerk prior to the time when the matter is dis- cussed. Mr. Bailey also asked where he could obtain a copy of the General Plan Review Report, and Mr. Fales advised him that copies of this report would be placed in the library for the public. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business at 9:50 P.M., it was moved by Councilman Berat- lis and seconded by Councilman Pearson that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in Regular Session at 8:00 P,M., on July 27, 1970.
