It was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman Mori~ <br />that Resolution No. 72-95, approving the policies relating to the <br />Educational Incentive Program, Payment for Unused Sick Leave, and on <br />Training Goals and Objectives, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Adoption.. of an ordinance which would prohibit the operation of certain <br />~el~icles in excess of certain weights upon certain of the streets wi~h- <br />in the Cit~ of Pleasanton <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar requested that this matter be continued to the meeting of <br />June 12th, 1972. <br /> <br />Consideration by the Plannin Commission ...for p.os..Sib.!e lifting of the <br />~'tUdy Df'S'trict from Areas "B'~ and "D" 02' properties. t.ributary to the <br />Sunol Boulevard Treatment Plant. <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar requested that this matter be postponed until Mr. Castro <br />arrives later in the evening. <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> <br />City Council Action Re: Measure "A" <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar reported that he had forwarded both pro and con arguments <br />to the City Council on Measurer "A" , which related to whether or not <br />another bridge should be constructed across the south end of San Fran- <br />cisco Bay. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman Mori that <br />the City of Pleasanton oppose the construction of a southern crossing <br />of the San Francisco'Bay as set'forth on Measure "A". <br /> <br />The roll.call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />City Council Action Re: Proposition No. 9 <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Mori and seconded by Councilman Kinney that <br />the City of Pleasanton oppose Proposition No. 9. <br /> <br />Councilman Pearson stated that he felt that Proposition Noo 9 was a <br />technically complicated issue and he did not feel he had enough infor- <br />mation, both pro and con, to vote on this matter and felt that the <br />City Council was premature in taking a stand on it. <br /> <br />Councilman .Moriagreed that it was a complex issue and felt that it <br />included too many unrelated problems even though the intent was good. <br /> <br />Mayor Reid called for the .vote. <br /> <br />The roll ~call. vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: Councilman Pearson <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 3. 6-5-72 <br /> <br /> <br />
