Councilmember Mohr stated she favored the City providing fire protection services to Komandorski Village without any fee charged to them. Councilmember Kephart stated he felt this would set a bad precedent. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Council- member Kephart, that Resolution No. 81-282, to provide fire protection services to Komandorski Village until February 1, 1982, at a rate of $400.00 per month, and to negotiate further at that time determined on the outcome of the Dublin incorporation vote on November 3, 1981, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, and Mayor Mercer NOES: Councilmembers Mohr and Wood ABSENT: None Fire Protection Services to Unincorporated Areas Mr. Walker presented the report of the Director of Finance (SR 81:285) dated August 11, 1981, regarding this matter. It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 81-283, extending the existing agreement between the City and the County for fire service to the three service areas (Remen Tract, Castlewood~ and Happy Valley), for one year to June 30, 1982, for a minimum payment of $61,568, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kepahrt, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: None Approval of Procedures for Sale of Surplus Prop.er.ty at the Northeast Corner ~f Peters Avenue and Rose Avenue Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 81:289) dated August 18, 1981, regarding this matter. Councilmember Kephart abstained from participation on this item due to Conflict of Interest. Ms. Joyce Getty, 925 Kottinger and downtown business person, stated she felt this property should not be sold until further review and consideration of a down- town parking assessment district. She reiterated the need for additional parking space, and urged Council to reconsider their decision to sell this property as surplus at this time.
