CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> Mr. Walker presented the Calendar for the information of the Council. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer advised there will be a LAFCO meeting on September 17, 1981, at <br />4:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer advised the Heritage Days Barbeque will be held on September 19, <br />1981. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler advised he will be out of town from September 7 to <br />October 2. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler stated that Alameda County is planning a reception for the <br />newly appointed Alameda County Librarian and the Pleasanton Librarian. He requested <br />dates that the Council could attend a reception. Council selected the dates of <br />September 2nd and September 16th as available times. Staff was instructed to ad- <br />vice John Clatworthy of these dates. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kephart stated he would be out of to~ on the September 22nd <br />Council meeting date. After discussion, Council changed the September 22, 1981, <br />City Council meeting to September 29, 1981, 8:00 P.M., at the Pairgrounds Cafeteria. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood stated he would be unable to attend the August 26, 1981, <br />Joint meeting with the Park and Recreation Commission and would like to go on record <br />as suggesting that an artesian well or sculpture would be ideal at the entrance to <br />the City on Hopyard Road where Zone 7 is considering purchase of land. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 11:10 P.M., to an Executive Session to <br />discuss labor relations and personnel. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 11:20 P.M. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />that Resolution No. 81-289, approvtng the Memorandum of Understanding between the <br />City and the Police Management Unit, Operating Engineers Local #3, for the period <br />October 1, 1980, to December 31, 1981, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />that Resolution No. 81-290, increasing the City Attorney's annual salary to $42,500, <br />be adopted. ~ <br />The roll call vote was as follows: ~ <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />ADJOUR~qENT <br /> There being no further business at 11:30 P.M., it was moved by Councilmember <br />Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that the meeting be adjourned to meet <br />again in Regular Session on September 8, 1981, 8:00 P.M., Fairgrounds Cafeteria. <br /> <br /> · 12. 8/2s/81 <br /> <br /> <br />
