He <br />requested Council to consider writing a letter to BART re- <br />emphasizing its position about the East Pleasanton-Dublin <br />station. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer concurred with Mr. Brandes' comments. He added <br />that negotiations regarding the station are being held with the <br />owners of Hacienda Business Park, the County and the City of <br />Dublin, but the City of Pleasanton has not been approached. He <br />stated that he wanted Pleasanton to be part of the process from <br />the beginning. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brandes suggested that a meeting be arranged with the <br />BART Board and the City of Dublin so that first hand information <br />can be available. <br /> <br />Discussion on the Ridgelands Initiative <br /> <br /> Mr. Brandes requested staff to prepare a report for the <br />June 19th Council meeting on the Ridgelands Initiative as it <br />relates to matters set forth in the Election Code as well as to <br />its fiscal impact and its conformance with the General Plan. <br /> <br />9.. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br /> Mr. Butler stated that the Pleasanton Ridgelands Steering <br />Committee has held its first meeting and that it would have a <br />second meeting on May 21st. He indicated that the Committee may <br />come up with some considerations regarding annexation of the <br />Ridgelands after that meeting. <br /> <br />10.
