241 Ms. Mohr commented that whatever action Council takes would probably not change the subsequent actions of property owners. She stated that the Staff Report indicates that PUD - Medium Density would provide the process necessary to effectuate the Specific Plan policies in the area. Mr. Butler stated that he recognizes that staff has suggested a mechanism to provide prezoning so the annexation can proceed without committing anything. He would prefer, however, that the prezoning be postponed until the NSSP is completed and more information is available. Mr. Brandes stated that the staff's recommendation is the easiest way to deal with the properties and that the issues can be defined when the development plan comes before the Council. It was then moved by Mr. Brandes, and seconded by Mr. Mercer, that Ordinance No. 1464 be introduced, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, approving RZ-90-03, the application of the City of Pleasanton to prezone an approximately 2.15 acre site (Gudaitis, 1.58 acres; Thompson, .57 acres) located at 375 and 387 Sycamore Road on the south side of Sycamore Road, approximately 200 feet west of the intersection with Sunol Boulevard to the PUD (Planned Unit Development) - Medium Density Residential District.
