8]

13. REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY

No reports were presented by the City Attorney at this
meeting.

14. COMMUNICATIONS
No communications were presented at this meeting.

15. CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR

Ms. Acosta presented the City Council Calendar for the
information of the Councilmembers.

Mr. Brandes stated that it did not appear appropriate that, as
has been the practice in the past, newly elected City officials
were sworn in during a regular City Council meeting. He suggested
that a separate night be set aside solely for the purpose of
swearing in the officials. He then inquired when the Registrar of
Voters would be ready with the certified election results.

Ms. Acosta replied that the Registrar of Voters has 30 days to
prepare the certification and that it would be unlikely that the
certified results would be ready by the November 20th City Council
Meeting.

16. CLOSED SESSION

Council adjourned to a Closed Session at 9:55 p.m. to discuss
Alameda County Litigation (King Plan), Potential Litigation Against
Amador Valley Savings & Loan, et al., and Potential Litigation
Against Southern Pacific Railroad, et al.

17. ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business at 10:15 p.m., it was moved by
Mr. Butler, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, that the meeting be
adjourned, to meet again in Regular Session on Tuesday, November 6,
1990, at 7:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor
Mercer
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Respectfully submitted,

PEGGYJLY~FZfDRO,~ITY CLERK

10-16-90
- 25 -
