(SR95:375) <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr excused herself from participating in this item because of a <br />financial conflict of interest. <br /> <br /> Brian Swift presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti asked if three car garages are anticipated or would there be a mix of two <br />and three car garages. <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift stated that the Shapell single story model has a two car garage and the two <br />story has three car garages. The Design Review Board, when it reviewed the Shapell models, <br />emphasized that the designs of the houses should be so as to minimize the appearance of the <br />garage door. This was the one street in this subdivision that the houses are on a straight street <br />rather than a curved street and it essentially has the same setbacks. With all three car garages <br />on those five lots, staff felt the garage would become an issue and suggested that two of them <br />be two car garages. The developer's plan is to build a two and half or three car garage space <br />with only two doors. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti stated that some people buy houses because they have the extra garage <br />space. <br /> <br />11/21/95 -7- <br /> <br /> <br />
