<br />ATTACHMENT 5 <br /> <br />New Home Green Points Checklist Comparison <br /> <br />The following represents a comparison between the new home green points <br />checklist that is currently used in evaluating projects for compliance with green <br />building measures. The ACWMA has been undergoing an evaluation to update <br />the checklist due to changes to the State Title 24 requirements. The categories and <br />available points are modified reflecting those changes. <br /> <br />The following list describes the changes: <br /> <br />· New categories in the Revised version: <br />o Landscaping <br />o Building Performance <br /> <br />. Existing categories that were expanded or changed: <br />o Structural Frame was expanded to also cover Building Envelope <br />o Indoor Air Quality and Finishes was changed to just Finishes <br />o Renewable Energy and Roofing was changed to just Renewable <br />Energy <br /> <br />. Existing categories that were removed: <br />o Windows (5 points) <br />o Electrical (17 points) <br />o Natural Heating and Cooling (11 points) <br /> <br />Changes by existing Category: <br /> <br />. Site <br /> <br />Total points was 25, new total is 12 <br /> <br />o Recycle Job Site was rewritten to have a prerequisite. <br />o Donate Unused Materials was renamed to Deconstruct... <br />o Protect Native Soil was expanded to allow up to 3 points to be <br />achieved, where 2 points was the pervious total. <br />o Minimize Disruption of Existing Plants and Trees was removed. <br />o All stormwater points were removed in light of the new C3 permit <br />requirements. <br />o Design Resource-Efficient Landscapes and Install High-Efficiency <br />Irrigation Systems were moved into the new Landscape section. <br /> <br />1 <br />
