In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Blank regarding the jet fuel lint, Mr. Walsh confinricd that ii was in aii easenzenti parallel to the front property liiie_ Commissioner Blank requested further information about the jet fuel line at a future date. Mr. Pavan confirmed that information would be provided. In response to an inquiry by Commissioner Arkin regarding the destination of the jet fuel, Mr_ Walsh stated that the Richmond refineries used the jet fuel- Commissioner Arkin complimented the applicant on conducting a workshop for this challenging piece of property- He supported the idea of vehicle storage_ Commissioner Fox would like to see the area built up in the sense of not having RV storage and added that it would be near the Presbyterian Church and a new residential area- She would like to see three buildings in that area with landscaping acid plazas in the middle rather than seven identical buildings. She noted that the area was saturated with self-storage buildings. Commissioner Roberts did not like the two-story buildings because there were several tilt-up buildings on California Avenue and Nevada Street that resemble that design; she did not like the cookie-cutter nature of the design- She agreed with Commissioner Fox's assessment that the seven buildings in a row were overpowering. She believed that the light industrial area buildings across the street on Bernal Avenue at Quarry Lane (across Valley Avenues were attractive, set back appropriately, acid well-landscaped. She was aware of the need for RV storage_ Mr. Walsh noted that the footprint of the buildings covered 5,000 square feet and described the concept of the property design- He noted that the seven small buildings were intended to provide space for people to live and work in Pleasanton and that he did not intend to allow acookie-cutter design. Traffic design was designed to minimize traffic in-ipacts_ Commissioner Arkin complimented Mr_ Walsh on the design and my aired about the vehicle storage- I-Ic suggested using a fence similar to the 12-foot masonry fence on Santa Rita Road across fiom the Rose Pavilion, which featured landscaped vegetation at the sidcwalk_ Commissioner Blai~k inquired whether one-story buildings would be workable instead of two-story buildings. Mr. Walsh noted that would work_ Commissioner Roberts suggested a mix of one- and two-story buildings- Mr_ Walsh noted that it allowed people to have some office space.
