Protect views of surrounding open space. <br /> <br />Establish rural road standards such as minimal pavement width; no curbs, sidewalks, or <br />street lights; etc. <br /> <br />Minimize negative impacts on the quiet, safe, and peaceful living environment. <br /> <br />Allow for the continued keeping of farm animals. <br /> <br />Preserve the wildlife habitat in the Valley. <br /> <br />Protect the existing natural quality of Happy Valley Creek. <br /> <br />PLANNING SCHEDULE <br /> <br />The following is a possible schedule for completing the Happy Valley Specific Plan and related <br />planning documents. It assumes that the project will continue according to its current pace. The <br />actual schedule will be dependent upon the priority given to the Happy Valley Specific Plan at <br />the City Council priority-setting workshop. In this schedule, the actual golf course design is <br />assumed to take place concurrently with this process. <br /> <br />Illustrative Schedule: <br /> <br />March 5 - April 1. 1997 - Selection of EIR, traffic, and land planning consultants. <br /> <br />March 27 - June 30. 1997 - City/Neighborhood meetings regarding the following: <br /> <br /> · Water, sanitary sewer, and storm water drainage (including conceptual plans, timing, and <br /> cost allocation); <br /> <br /> · Neighborhood character, trails, and farm animals; <br /> <br /> · Housing density/traffic circulation; and <br /> <br /> · Environmental issues. <br /> <br />SR 97:67 <br />Page 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
