Bicycle, Pedestrian & Trails Committee Minutes Page 1 of 2 March 23, 2026 <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />BICYLCE, PEDESTRIAN & TRAILS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br />March 23, 2026 <br /> <br /> <br />Chair Piekarski called the regular meeting of the Bicycle, Pedestrian & Trails Committee to <br />order at the hour of 6:30 p.m. from the Pleasanton Senior Center located at 5353 Sunol Blvd. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: Committee members Tom Medina, Phil Bowman, Anurag Jain, Christine Campbell, <br />Donna Dubose, William Bridenbaugh, Sharon Piekarski <br /> <br />Absent: Ernie Rodgers, Sierra Stewart <br /> <br />Present Staff members, Traffic Engineer Mike Tassano, Associate Traffic Engineer Matt <br />Nelson, Landscape Architect Matt Gruber <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />1. Approve regular meeting minutes of April 28, 2025, July 28, 2025, October 27, 2025, and <br />January 26, 2026. <br /> <br />Recommendation: Approve all but April 28, 2025. <br /> <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br />1. Introductions/Awards/Recognitions: Bike East Bay Workshops – Adult Cycling 101 was <br />recognized. <br /> <br />2. Public Comment <br /> <br />Chair Piekarski opened public comment. <br /> <br />The following individuals provided comments: Member of the public, Nate Harold – there <br />is an uptick in cars with tinted windows and cyclists cannot make eye contact with the <br />drivers. Committee member, Christine Campbell asked about e-bike safety. <br /> <br />Chair Piekarski closed public comment. <br /> <br /> <br />COMMISSION MATTERS <br /> <br />3. Review of Annual Bicycle and Pedestrian Collision Data <br />
