Other brief reports on any meetings, conferences, and/or seminars attended <br />by the Committee members <br />None. <br />COMMITTEE COMMENTS <br />Member Nelson requested a report on the effect to the planned extension of Iron Horse <br />Trail with the denial of the East Pleasanton project and purchase by Amazon. <br />Member Piekarski discussed an app used to plan out routes and stated the most recent <br />City improvements were not included and asked why info was not given to Google and <br />Open Streets. City Engineer Tassano stated the information was collected by Google. <br />Associate Traffic Engineer Nelson discussed his experience with adding information to <br />maps. City Engineer Tassano stated staff provides data to Google for its mapping system <br />when requested. <br />Member Houston discussed the difficult transition on the bike lane on Sunol Boulevard as <br />it approached the 680. City Engineer Tassano stated staff would look for opportunities for <br />interim improvements. <br />STAFF COMMENTS <br />Associate Traffic Engineer Nelson discussed the current counts being conducted for <br />crossing guards in the City. He provided an update on the West La Positas project and <br />potential for elevating bike lanes. <br />Member Piekarski asked the construction time for West La Pasitas. Associate Traffic <br />Engineer Nelson stated the timeline depended on the final design and indicated there <br />was potential for interim paint improvements. City Engineer Tassano discussed the <br />opportunity for raised bike lanes if the curbs and gutters had to be improved.
