Suitable habitat for this <br />species is absent from the site. The <br />nearest recorded occurrences are <br />more than nine miles east of the <br />site. <br />San Joaquin spearscale <br />Atriplex joaquiniana <br />CRPR 1B Habitat: Occurs in <br />chenopod scrub, <br />meadows and seeps, <br />playas, and valley and <br />foothill grasslands on <br />alkaline soils. <br />Elevation: 1-835 meters. <br />Blooms: Annual herb; <br />April-October. <br />Absent. Suitable habitat for this <br />species is absent from the site. The <br />nearest recorded occurrences are <br />more than four miles east of the <br />site. <br />Lesser saltscale <br />Atriplex minuscula <br />CRPR 1B.1 Habitat: Occurs in alkaline <br />and sandy soils in <br />chenopod scrub, playas, <br />and valley and foothill <br />grasslands. <br />Elevation: 15-200 meters <br />Blooms: Annual herb; <br />May-October. <br />Absent. Suitable habitat for this <br />species is absent from the site. The <br />nearest recorded occurrences are <br />more than ten miles east of the <br />site. <br />Big-scale balsamroot <br />Balsamorhiza macrolepis var. <br />macrolepis <br />CRPR 1B Habitat: Chaparral, <br />cismontane woodland, <br />and valley and foothill <br />grassland, sometimes on <br />serpentine. <br />Elevation: 90-1555 <br />meters. <br />Blooms: Perennial herb; <br />March-June. <br />Absent. Potentially suitable <br />habitat is present on the site, <br />however, rare plant surveys in Fall <br />2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2023 <br />did not detect this perennial <br />species on the site.
