Appropriate <br />weather for intensive surveys is warm and <br />sunny or sunny with some overcast with <br />temperatures between 60° Fahrenheit <br />(degrees Fahrenheit) and 90°. Should an <br />underground nest be located, individuals at <br />the nest shall be photographed to confirm <br />species. If a confirmed underground nest of <br />Crotch’s bumble bee is observed, the nest <br />shall be flagged and a 25-foot buffer <br />established around the nest. <br />Minimization <br />If a Crotch’s bumble bee or a Crotch’s <br />bumble bee nest is observed, an avoidance <br />plan would be developed and reviewed by <br />CDFW prior to project work and/or <br />vegetation removal or ground disturbance. <br />Compensation <br />If Crotch’s bumble bee exists on-site and if <br />take avoidance is not feasible, then a <br />mitigation plan that provides for on- or off-
