We'd like to as s ur e you that <br />C as tlewood is mor e than r eady to move for wa r d with annexa tion and <br />that we could get this done quickly. <br />Within C as tle wood, a fe w things ha ve changed fr o m the pas t, but <br />mos t cr itica lly, the C ounty is no lo nger pr oviding us with adequa te <br />r oa d, wate r , and s ewer s er vices . His to r ically, we had a dedicated <br />pr o gr am mana ger fr om the C o unty for tho s e s er vice s . Ho wever , tha t <br />pr o gr am mana ger , s adly, pas s ed away s uddenly in 2021. The county <br />has not r eplaced the r o le, our s er vices ar e getting wor s e ever y year , <br />a nd fr ankly, it’s obvious the C ounty wants us to go away. B oth the <br />B oar d of S uper vis o r s a nd Alameda LAFC o ar e awar e of o ur s ituation. <br />Fo r Pleas anton, anne xation aligns with m ultiple s tr ate gic pr io r ities . <br />Fo r example: <br />G oal A. Funding Our Futur e S tr ategy - jus t fr om pr oper ty tax alo ne, <br />C as tlewood wo uld pr ovide ~$1m in r e venue annually.
