THE CITY OF
O. II ... I I. _... M1 1 ...
PLEASANTON.
1-580 Overcrossing Bicycle &
Pedestrian Improvements
Project Number: 22570
Department:
Project Phase:
Total Budget:
CIP Rating Score:
Project Description:
Community & Economic
Development -Traffic Engineering
Design
$950,000
98
This project will generate the design for improvements
to the bicycle and pedestrian facilities connecting the
city of Pleasanton to the city of Dublin. As part of the
2018 Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan, the City de-
veloped both short- and long-range designs for im-
provements to the 1-580 overcrossings at Santa Rita
Road, Hacienda Road, and Hopyard Road. This funding
will support the project design.
Project Funding
Miscellaneous 162 $250,000
CIP Grants
Measure BB - 165 -
Bike & Pedestrian
$525,000
$175,000
Project Justification:
The 1-580 overcrossings are ranked No. 3 in the
Pedestrian and Bicycle Master Plan, making this
project highly competitive for regional and federal
grant funding, as it connects two local agencies
and crosses a major freeway system. This project
will be funded from grants from Alameda CTC and
Measure BB Bike and Pedestrian funding. This proj-
ect is in alignment with the ONE Pleasanton Strate-
gic Plan goal of - Investing in Our Environment to in-
vest in parks, bicycle, and pedestrian infrastructure.
36 City of Pleasanton Capital Improvement Program • FY 2025/26 - FY 2029/30
