However, please understand that meeting with community members one at a time is not realistic or practical for Susan or me during the budget development process. The information circulating about contract services contains incorrect/inaccurate assertions. For example, some contract services are reimbursed (and that is not accounted for), and in other cases, things like "community promotion" are payments to non -profits (not consultants) for services. Please keep an eye out for "supplemental material" in the City Council's April 8 agenda packet, which will address this topic. Final note. The City will continue to work on fiscal stabilization and longer-term financial planning. That work will become more focused after the two-year budget is adopted in June. In the meantime, we are keeping track of ideas and continue to welcome your thoughts.
