Page 3 of 3 <br />EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY <br />These purchases align with the City’s Climate Action Plan 2.0, Transportation and Land Use: <br />Reduce GHG emissions from transportation and land use, which will enhance community <br />mobility, improve public health, and result in cost savings. The Vac-Con truck and mini <br />excavator incorporate modern technology that supports the City’s sustainability goals while <br />ensuring operational reliability. <br /> <br />OUTREACH <br />No additional outreach was conducted, as this purchase aligns with the Vehicle Replacement <br />Plan and routine City operations. <br /> <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this action advances the Citywide ONE Pleasanton strategic plan goal of Investing <br />in Our Environment, Strategy 6 - Continue to implement priority items from the Climate Action <br />Plan 2.0 (CAP). <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />The total cost for both pieces of equipment is $972,553, with a purchase amount $800,750 for <br />the Vac-Con Truck, and a purchase amount of $149,394 plus a 15 percent contingency of <br />$22,409 for a total not to exceed cost of $171,803 for the mini excavator.
