STAFF
Evan Ely has been professionally building trails in the varied terrains of
the west for the past 6 years. Over the past two years, he has brought his
construction expertise to the design of sustainable, fun trails; he was the
lead designer for the Wildcat Bike Trail for East Bay Regional Park District.
He is known for his “light touch” on the land by employing the minimum
tool rule, defined as using the least impactful machine for the job. Even
when utilizing machines, he is mindful of the effect that it may have on the
project. He takes special pride in being able to integrate site characteristics
into trail features; using natural grade reversals to shed water from the trail
and preserving the understory vegetation to show water and minimize
erosion.
Annie McFarland will be the Project Manager; she will serve as the point
of contact, will coordinate monthly progress reports, and keep the project
on schedule and within budget. She will also direct the activities of the
consultant team.
Joe Tehan cut his teeth building trails while working on a hand crew on
the nationally recognized Palisade Plunge trail near Palisade CO, and is now
a Senior Trail Consultant with Pointe Strategies. Joe is excited to be involved
in the many levels of developing meaningful recreational experiences
around the country. For this project he will join the field team, as needed,
when his skill set is needed.
Docusign Envelope ID: DC6BDBD2-15FB-4A32-AD1D-259624389679Docusign Envelope ID: 2462BFEF-7321-437F-941F-04E5906B4A10
