The subdivider shall file with the planning <br />commission 25 white copies and one duplicate transpar- <br />ency of the tentative map of each subdivision and such <br />other copies as may be required by the community de- <br />velopment director or his or her designated representa- <br />tive. The time of filing of a tentative map shall be con- <br />strued to be the time at which a tentative map meeting <br />all of the requirements of this chapter has been filed <br />with the community development director or his or her <br />designated representative, the environmental impact <br />review process (including completion of any required <br />environmental impact report or negative declaration) <br />established by the city council has been completed, and <br />the project has received an allocation from the residen- <br />tial allocation board for the number of units proposed to <br />be subdivided. A tentative map shall not be accepted for <br />filing which does not meet the requirements of this sec- <br />tion. The community development director or his or her <br />designated representative shall indicate the date of re- <br />ceipt of a tentative map meeting the requirements of this <br />chapter and shall advise the applicant in writing when <br />the time period for evaluation by the planning commis- <br />sion of the tentative map has commenced. <br /> B. The requirement that a project have an allo- <br />cation from the residential allocation board shall not be <br />applicable to tentative maps submitted to the community <br />development director on or before June 27, 1977, or to <br />any maps that have obtained sewer connection permits <br />pursuant to Resolution No. 77-108. (Ord. 2000 § 1, <br />2009; prior code § 2-2.40) <br /> <br />19.20.020 Fee. <br /> A filing fee of $100.00, plus $2.50 for each lot <br />included in the subdivision, shall be paid at the time of <br />filing the tentative map. If additional tentative maps <br />covering the same tract or revisions of the initial map <br />are filed by the same subdivider prior to official action <br />by the planning commission, no additional fee will be <br />required. (Prior code § 2-2.41) <br /> <br />19.20.030 Distribution of copies. <br /> Within four days after the filing of the tentative <br />map, the director of housing and community develop- <br />ment shall transmit the requested number of copies of <br />said map together with accompanying data to such pub- <br />lic agencies and/or utilities as may be affected or con- <br />cerned with the results of the proposed subdivision. <br />Each of the public agencies and/or utilities may, within <br />14 days after the map has been filed, forward to the <br />commission written reports of its findings and recom- <br />mendations thereof. The city engineer shall prepare a <br />written report of recommendations on the tentative map <br />in relation to the requirements of this chapter and other <br />applicable regulations of the city or other public agen- <br />cies, and shall submit the same to the planning commis- <br />sion within two days prior to the scheduled planning <br />commission meeting at which said map is to be consid- <br />ered. (Prior code § 2-2.42) <br /> <br />19.20.040 Notification of action. <br /> Approval, disapproval or conditional approval of <br />the tentative map shall be made in writing to the subdi- <br />vider. One copy of the map and accompanying data and <br />the planning commission report thereon shall remain in <br />the permanent file of the planning commission. The city <br />clerk shall send one copy of the report of the commis- <br />sion, showing the action taken, to the subdivider, and <br />one copy to the city council. (Prior code § 2-2.43) <br /> <br />19.20.050 Preparation requirements. <br /> The subdivider shall cause the tentative map of the <br />land proposed to be subdivided to be prepared by a per- <br />son competent in the preparation of such maps, such as a <br />registered civil engineer or licensed surveyor or practic- <br />ing land or city planner. Such tentative map shall be in <br />full compliance with the requirements of this chapter. <br />Topography and boundaries of said tentative map shall <br />be certified as to accuracy by a registered civil engineer <br />or licensed surveyor, and all public improvements shall <br />be designed by a registered civil engineer.
