As reflected in the traffic analysis, the Sycamore routes for Lund Ranch will increase traffic on Sycamore by 20% and will increase traffic on side roads like Hanifen and Sunset Creek Lane by 600 -800 %. This greatly impacts our neighborhood, especially our children. As it is, traffic gets backed up trying to get on/off Sycamore /Sunol during rush hour. We will also experience an increase in noise. As reflected in the draft EIR, Scenarios 1 and 2 will cause less environmental impact. The Sycamore scenarios require a road to be built across a creek and across slopes, posing a hill erosion risk. This is not true for Scenarios 1 and 2. The Sycamore routes violate Measure PP. In 2008, the residents of Pleasanton voted to bar construction of any "structure" on hillside grades of 25% or more. The Sycamore routes would require roads, bridges, and retaining walls to be built on such grades, in plain violation of Measure PP. Upon reflecting on all these facts, we hope you make the right decision in supporting Option 1 and protecting Measure PP.
