<br />,- <br /> <br />Mr. Swift noted that staff could segregate those items. <br /> <br />Commissioner Roberts thanked Code Enforcement for addressing the issue of the antiques store. <br /> <br />Chairperson Maas advised that she attended the ABAG Fall General Assembly as the <br />representative from Pleasanton, She noted that they addressed Smart Growth, water use, regional <br />planning, and infill building. She noted that she had literature available for the Commissioners, <br />She noted that there was a question and answer period after the presentation. <br /> <br />Chairperson Maas noted that a newspaper article stated that Pleasanton jobs were outpacing <br />affordable housing, She added that the office vacancy rate continued to rise. <br /> <br />Commissioner Roberts noted that the article stated that 10,000 Pleasanton workers lived in town, <br />and the other three-quarters of the workers commute, She interpreted that statistic to mean that <br />Pleasanton was providing affordable housing for other cities. <br /> <br />Chairperson Maas noted that she received the packet for the October 17 Tri-Valley Council <br />meeting on October 18. <br /> <br />Commissioner Sullivan was interested in the Hacienda redevelopment workshops, and asked <br />where and when they would be held. <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />Mr. Swift advised that the City Council expressed its support for the foundation interested in <br />smart growth, and that it would participate in Commission 2010. It was willing to sponsor a <br />preliminary concept development plan of how Hacienda Business Park may be redeveloped or <br />intensified with respect to integrating housing and retail, and other smart growth concepts. The <br />City Council gave its approval to spend the monies, and would take its input for use in future <br />applications. There had been one preliminary meeting with the consultants and the foundation, <br />and the tentative schedule for holding a charette would be mid-January, 2003, at the earliest. It <br />would be a public meeting, and the Commissioners would probably be asked to attend. <br /> <br />8. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW/ACTION <br /> <br />a. Future Planning Calendar <br /> <br />Meeting Schedule <br /> <br />Chairperson Maas advised that a memo had been received from Kathy Ferreira regarding future <br />meetings. November 25, 2002, was the tentative date for the second November meeting, <br />Commissioner Roberts noted that another option was November 18, 2002, after the Mayor's <br />dinner.
