X214 <br />Town Pfarshal: -- Showing thatti)he received 457 water bills from the Clerk amounting to <br />1,070.25. He collected water bills in the amount of 8830.20 and returned water bills <br />to the amount of $240.05 . He also cot ledted 12 licenses 9 $12.00 -- amounting to <br />$144.00. He also collected milk inspection fees in the amount of $34.75 and taxes <br />in the amount of $11.80. <br />Treasurer::;- Showing that the water Deposit Fund had $77.00 cash on hand per last <br />report and since then $12.50 has been collected making a total of $89:50 in the <br />Water Deposit Fund. There was $15.99 in the dater Surplus Fund. No receipts or <br />warrants issued during the month. The Curb and Gutter Project Fund had $616.53 <br />per last report . $38.09 having since been collected making a total of x'644.62 <br />in the Curb and Gutter Project Fund. In accordance with Res61ution #1617', the <br />sum bf $500.00 has been transferred from the Curb & Gutter Project Fund to the <br />General Fund leaving the total in the Curb & Gutter Fund in the amount of $144.62. <br />The Treasurer hid on hand 'in the General Fund the amount of $9365.87, amounts <br />collected during the month $1,905.39, less amounts paid on lot =gin Warrants $1,864-31, <br />leaving x'9,406.95 in the hands of the Treasurer. <br />City Judge:- -The report,sho4;ed that $150.00 had been collected in fines during the <br />month of June. <br />Health Officer:-- Showing report of activities during the month of June, 1937. <br />Fire Chief:=- Showing report of activities during the month of June, 1937• <br />Milk Inspector: -- Showing laboratory report.of milk samples during the month 6f June, 1 <br />Ashton Britten: -- Showing laboratory report of the sewer farm during the month of June <br />1937. <br />The reports were referred to the finance committee for audit and report. <br />The following communications were then read: <br />June 6th:- -Judge C. A. Gale advising that an official seal was needed for the Muni- <br />cipal Court as required by Chapter 161 -- Statues of 1937 and further advising that same <br />would cost $6.00 and should be ordered for the Court. <br />June 12th: - -Dr. Herrick on behalf of the Livermore Rodeo expressing appreciation for <br />Pleasanton's participation in the Pioneer Parade on June 12th. <br />June 22nd: -- Edward Silveria of San Francisco, submitting a bid df $50.00 to audit <br />the Municipal books in August. <br />June 26th:- -City of Spokane -in re: Fire College to be conducted at Spokane August <br />11 -14, 1937 by the Pacific'Coast Association of fire Chiefs and writing the Council <br />to send Pleasantonts Fire Chief. <br />June 30th : -,- League of California Municipalities notifying Council of the annual <br />convention at San Jose in September and foimarding questionnaires to be prepared <br />by the Council members. <br />June 30th: - -C. H. Petersen S. Co., of San Francisco inquiring with regards audit of <br />Municipalib66ks this year and asking for consideration. <br />A recess followed during which the finance committee examined Claims No. 1 -41 <br />inclusive and amounting to x9850-65. After the meeting had called to order, Councilman <br />Vadsen acting chairman of the finance committee reported that the committee had <br />examined and approved the claims and made a motion to the effect that they be paid <br />His motion was seconded by councilman Olesen, with all of the councilmen present in <br />favor of same. Councilman Madsen also reported that the officers monthly reports were <br />accepted and he moved that they be placed on file. There were no objections to same. <br />r C <br />Action on the communications were taken as follows: <br />June 6th: - -Judge C. A. Gale. Filed <br />June 12th: - -Dr. Herrick. Filed <br />June 22nd: -- Edward Silveria. His bid was accepted on motion of Councilman Amaral <br />seconded by Councilman Madsen with all of the councilmen present in favor of same. <br />As the vnork is to progress early in August the Clerk requested a weeks vacation <br />while Mr. Silveria vgas at it. The same was granted. <br />June 26th: - -City of Spokane -the city Council decided against i;ity funds being used <br />to send the Fire Chief to the convention. Instead, it-felt that the League Con- <br />vention in San Jose as regards the Council and Clerk attending was more important. <br />June 30th: -- League of California Municipalities -the questionnaires were ordered <br />prepared and handed the City Clerk to be fo7marded to headquarters, also that the <br />rierpbers of the Council and ;'lerk make a special effort to go to San Jose in September <br />for the League Convention. <br />June 10th: - -C.
