-T <br />Pleasanton, California, January 13, 1936. <br />The Town Council of the Town of Pleasanton was called to order in adjourned session <br />on the above written date by ]Aayor"Thos. Orloff. Present at roll call were: Councilmen <br />Rivolta, Madsen, Olesen and Orloff. Councilman Amaral was late. <br />The IVtayor stated that the meeting had been called for the second and final reading <br />of Ordinance No. 171, "an Ordinance Fixing the Compensation of Elective Officers of <br />the Town of Pleasanton." Following the reading of the Ordinance by the Clerk, same <br />was adopted without correction -by Councilman Amaral, seconded by Councilman Rivolta <br />and with all the Councilmen in favor of same. <br />called <br />The Mayor also advised that the meeting was /to consider a communication of <br />Ashton Britten dated January 9th in which he advised as regards expenses etc. which <br />he would consider for services rendered. Same was as follovis: <br />Expense of Automobile 630.00 <br />Professional Service 25:00 <br />Breakage and material used <br />in laboratory, 5. 00 <br />0.00 <br />There was some discussion among the Councilmen with reference to same and it was <br />generally felt that while Mr. Britten had accomplished considerable at the sewer <br />farm, that the municipality at this time could not consider him anything more <br />than 630.00 per month, same to include professional services, expense of auto- <br />mobile and breakage and material used in the laboratory. The Clerk was instructed <br />to write to Mr. Britten to that effect. Also Councilman Amaral advised that it <br />would be advantageous for the Council sometime to meet at the sewer farm and to <br />go over the project with Mr. Britten in order that all might have a working knowledge <br />of what was taking place. Also he suggested that the engineer might be of assist- <br />ance at the sewer farm in connection with the work that Idr. Britten was carrying on. <br />The Clerk read a letter from Fred W. Schmidt, temporary president of the <br />Pleasanton Townsend Club, asking permission to use the City Hall as a meeting <br />place on"_ the first and third Wednesday evenings of each month for business <br />meetings of the Club. There being no objection to same the Clerk was instructed <br />to advise Mr. Schmidt to that effect. <br />There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:30 dclock to meet <br />in regular session, Monday evening, February 3 at 7 :-30 o'clock. <br />Approved: Clerk <br />Mayor <br />Pleasanton, California, February 3, 1936. <br />The Town Council of the Town of Pleasanton was called to order on the above <br />written date by ?Mayor Thos. Present at roll call were: Councilman Madsen, <br />Amaral, Rivolta, Olesen and Orloff. <br />meeting <br />The minutes of the January 6th and 13thLwere approved as read. <br />The Clerk then read claims Ivo. 320 to 314 inclusive and amounting to 61958.01 <br />together with Claim No.'295 Crulkshank & Kolln for $10.48.. This claim was <br />corrected to exclude charge of pipe etc.,made on previous bill and which Mr. <br />Kolln has agreed to take back at the conclusion of the work and on which special <br />charge will be made. The bill as changed was recommended by Councilman Olesen <br />and completed by special arrangement with Mr. Kolln and the City Clerk.
