Orloff. Present at roll call were: Councilmen Madsen, <br />Rivolta, Olesen, Amaral and Orloff. <br />The Mayor advised the Councilmen that the meeting had been called to <br />consider the slope -wall project which had been redr,,3wn and re- estimated by the <br />Oakland office of the P91iA. Mayor Orloff advised that these plans had been <br />received following the meeting of the City Council the evening before. <br />The Clerk presented individual project reports to the councilmen during <br />which a discussion ensued. On motion of Councilman Madsal seconded by Council- <br />man Olesen and with all the Councilmen in favor of same, the project as <br />outlined was approved and it was ordered that the Tviayor and the Clerk. <br />should affix their signatures to same. Arrangements were also made with the <br />Clerk for him to deliver the reports to the Oakland office. <br />There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 8:20 o'clock <br />to meet in regular session, Monday evening, October 7 7:30 o'clock. <br />Approved <br />/ Cler <br />Mayor <br />Pleasanton, California, September 10, 1935• <br />The Town Council of the Town of Pleasanton was called to order at 8 o'clock <br />on -the above written date with Mayor Thos. Orloff presiding. Present at roll <br />call were Councilmen: Madsen, Amaral, Rivolta, Olesen and Orloff. <br />-The Mayor stated that the meeting had been called for the purpose of setting <br />the tax rate for the fiscal year 1935-36• On account of the Clerk previously <br />circulating comparative reports of previous years expenses, balance in funds, <br />assessment roll, division of tax rates and amounts needed for bonds and interest, <br />the board was able to enter into a discussion of the tax rate for .the year without <br />any further information. After some discussion it was decided to reduce the <br />tax rate to w)1.4O instead of $1.389 Accordingly Resolution No. 1557 was <br />then presented. On motion of Councilman Amaral seconded by Councilman Madsen <br />and with all the councilmen present in favor of same, the resolution was adoped. <br />The resolution was as follows: <br />"Whereas the ordinances of the Town of Pleasanton in accordance with State <br />Law, . require .that the Town of Pleasanton meet on the second Monday of September <br />and at that time fix the rate for town taxes, designating the number of cents on <br />each one hundred dollars of assessed valuation levied for each fund and must then <br />levy the town taxes upon the taxable property in town;" <br />"Now Therefore, be it resolved by the Town Council of Pleasanton, in session <br />on the evening of September 109 1y35 (that being the next day following the second <br />Monday of September, which this year was a holiday), do hereby fix and declare the <br />rate for taxes for the various funds of the Town of Pleasanton for the year 1935-36 <br />as follows:" <br />"The sum of Seventy -six (76) cents on each one hundred dollars of assessed- <br />valuation to be levied against all taxable property in the Town of Pleasanton, to <br />be placed in the; general fund;" <br />i <br />"The sum of Nine (9) cents on each one hundred dollars of assessed valuation <br />of all ataxable property in the Town of Pleasanton to be placed in the Water <br />Bond Redemption Fund; " <br />"The sum of ITwenty -one (21) cents on each one hundred dollars of assessed <br />valuation of all taxable property in the Town of Pleasanton to be placed in the <br />Municipal Improvement Bond Redemption Fund;" <br />"The Sum oflThirty -four (34) cents on each one hundred dollars of assessed <br />valuation on all taxable property in the Town of Pleasanton to be placed in the <br />1929 Municipal Improvement Bond Redemption Fund;' <br />"Making a total tax rate for the Town of Pleasanton of One Dollar and Forty <br />($1.40) cents on each one hundred dollars of assessed valuation of all taxable <br />property." <br />"And be it further resolved that the tax collector be and he is hereby <br />
