PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION N0. PC-88-14
RESOLUTION APPROVING CASE UP-88-1, CITY AND COUNTY
EMPLOYEES' CREDIT UNION
WHEREAS, City and County Employees' Credit Union have applied for
a conditional use permit to establish a credit union
branch office to be located at 1807-C Santa Rita Road;
and
WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit
Development) - Commercial District; and
WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of February 10,
1988, the Planning Commission considered all public
testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the
City staff; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission makes the following findings:
a) That the proposed location of the conditional use is
in accordance with the objectives of the Municipal
Code and the purpose of the district in which the
site is located.
The proposed use is consistent with the purposes of
the Commercial zoning district, one of which is to
provide opportunities for service establishments
which are convenient to the public and can operate
in a mutually beneficial relationship with
surrounding businesses. The Planning Commission
finds that the CCECU branch office is compatible
with other businesses within Valley Plaza and would
add to the diversity and convenience of the area.
b) That the proposed location of the conditional use
and the conditions under which it would be operated
or maintained will not be detrimental to the public
health, safety, or welfare, or be materially
injurious to the properties or improvements in the
vicinity.
The Planning Commission finds that both access and
parking are sufficient to accommodate the use. The
proposed branch, as conditioned below, would not
have any adverse effects on surrounding businesses,
but rather would contribute to the economic
vitality, convenience, and diversity of the area.
c) That the proposed conditional use will comply with
each of the applicable provisions of this chapter.
- 1 -
