PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-20 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE PUD-81-30-42D, CASTILLO CO., STATE FARM WHEREAS, The Castillo Company (for State Farm Insurance) has applied for design review approval to construct an approximately 20,241 sq. ft. office building on an approximately 1.84 acre site (site 51C) located on Owens Drive, just west of Chabot Canal; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - Industrial, Commercial and Office District; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of February 24, 1988, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; WHEREAS, an environmental impact report was prepared for the rezoning of the Hacienda Business Park. A project of this type was included within the scope of that EIR. Therefore, no further environmental documents need be considered for this application. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Recommends approval of Case PUD-81-30-42, application of the Castillo Company (for State Farm Insurance) subject to the following conditions: 1. That the development be substantially as shown as shown on the plans, Exhibit A, on file with the Planning Department. 2. That the landscape area adjacent to the north building elevation be increased to 17' in width. 3. That the landscape area adjacent to the mechanical equipment screen be increased by two feet and planted with low growing evergreen shrubs. 4. That the freeway sign be eliminated from the master sign program. 5. That the applicant be responsible for its pro-rata share of the interim street improvements at the intersection of Santa Rita Road and Pimlico Drive and the intersection of the WB I-580 off-ramp and - 1 -
