PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-20 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE PUD-81-30-42D, <br />CASTILLO CO., STATE FARM <br />WHEREAS, The Castillo Company (for State Farm Insurance) has <br />applied for design review approval to construct an <br />approximately 20,241 sq. ft. office building on an <br />approximately 1.84 acre site (site 51C) located on Owens <br />Drive, just west of Chabot Canal; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit <br />Development) - Industrial, Commercial and Office <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of February 24, <br />1988, the Planning Commission considered all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; <br />WHEREAS, an environmental impact report was prepared for the <br />rezoning of the Hacienda Business Park. A project of <br />this type was included within the scope of that EIR. <br />Therefore, no further environmental documents need be <br />considered for this application. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case PUD-81-30-42, application <br />of the Castillo Company (for State Farm Insurance) <br />subject to the following conditions: <br />1. That the development be substantially as shown as <br />shown on the plans, Exhibit A, on file with the <br />Planning Department. <br />2. That the landscape area adjacent to the north <br />building elevation be increased to 17' in width. <br />3. That the landscape area adjacent to the mechanical <br />equipment screen be increased by two feet and <br />planted with low growing evergreen shrubs. <br />4. That the freeway sign be eliminated from the master <br />sign program. <br />5. That the applicant be responsible for its pro-rata <br />share of the interim street improvements at the <br />intersection of Santa Rita Road and Pimlico Drive <br />and the intersection of the WB I-580 off-ramp and <br />- 1 - <br />
