MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 20, 2007 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Hosterman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmember McGovern <br />led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Introductory Comments <br />Councilmember McGovern noted the Pleasanton Unified School District, the Pleasanton <br />Police Department, the Alameda County Office of Education and the Amador Adult and <br />Community Education are presenting a town hall meeting to start a conversation about <br />adolescent drinking, drug and tobacco use. The meeting is scheduled for March 29~h <br />from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Amador Valley High School Library. <br />She also noted the City of Pleasanton and the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council are <br />hosting the annual Poetry Prose and Arts Festival on Saturday, March 31 from 8:30 <br />a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Car American Conference Center. <br />The Annual Good Guys Rod Show and Swap Meet will be on March 24 and 25 at the <br />Fairgrounds. <br />Roll Call <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Absent: None <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS: None <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Councilmember Thorne noted, with regard to Item No. 2, that he took a tour of one of <br />the local mobilehome parks and indicated concern with safety issues as they relate to <br />sidewalks. He noted he will put his concerns in writing. <br />Councilmember McGovern noted a change to the Minutes, page 8, paragraph 6 to <br />include her comments that what was important to her was that she had expressed a <br />concern about the workload of the Council's priorities and that she would work with <br />those priorities for a year to determine if they needed to be honed. <br />With regard to Item No. 6, the cash Reserve Fund, Councilmember McGovern <br />questioned if that money will be earmarked in the CIP. City Manager Fialho noted it will <br />be earmarked in a special fund that does not designate the funds for any specific <br />project, except that it defines that the money will be used for something in the <br />downtown, a potential acquisition of the downtown corridor or another amenity related to <br />the downtown specific plan or an improvement in the Hacienda Business Park. <br />
