MINUTES CITY OF PLEASANTON Special City Council Meeting January 30, 2007 CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hosterman called the Special Meeting of the City Council to order at 10:39 p.m. 2. ROLL CALL Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman Absent: None 3. PUBLIC COMMENT -None 4. COUNCIL DIRECTION REGARDING THE PRELIMINARY TRAFFIC MODELING Mayor Hosterman called for a motion regarding the topics discussed in the workshop. It was m/s by Sullivan/Cook-Kallio to adopt a policy supporting constrained gateways in the General Plan. An amendment was requested by Councilmember McGovern to include acase-by-case review to try to preserve trees and landscaping. Councilmember Sullivan agreed to the amendment. Motion passed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman Noes: None Absent: None It was m/s by Thorne/Cook-Kallio, to model the Stoneridge Drive extension before requesting the Environmental Impact Report. Motion passed by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman Noes: None Absent: None It was m/s by Sullivan/Thorne to model the transit oriented development (TOD) land use option and the hybrid land use option as defined in Attachment 2.
