<br />MINUTES <br />OF THE <br />MEETING <br />OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />February 7,2006 <br /> <br />6:00 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br />Conference with legal counsel concerning pending litigation against Granite Construction <br />and the Cemex Company concerning the asphalt batch plant on property owned by Cemex on <br />Stanley Boulevard. <br /> <br />Conference with real property negotiator Nelson Fialho concerning the terms and <br />conditions of the City's potential acquisition of the community park and the right of way for the <br />Stoneridge Drive extension to be located within Staples Ranch. <br /> <br />Conference with legal counsel concerning pending litigation, Signature Properties, et al. <br />v. Pleasanton Unified School District, et al. <br /> <br />Conference with legal counsel concerning pending litigation, Lonestar Industries (now <br />know as Cemex) v. City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Vice Mayor Sullivan led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br />Mr. Sullivan invited the community to attend the annual event "Truffles, Tidbits & <br />Tasting," hosted by the Pleasanton Downtown Association on Thursday, February 9 from 6 p.m. <br />to 9 p.m. He announced that Amador Valley High School would be hosting the 31st Annual <br />Campana Jazz Festival, featuring award winning middle and high school jazz bands from <br />northern California. The community is invited to attend judging performances as well as the day <br />ending awards concert to be held at the Amador Theater to be held on Saturday, February 11. <br />He also announced the 7th Annual Children's Benefit Concert, an afternoon of music, would be <br />held at the Amador Theater on Sunday, February 12 and all proceeds would support children in <br />need in Vietnam.
