He described the various properties on a map. He noted the fact that the City was
going through its update process at the same time the industrial uses on the Kiewit and Hanson
properties are phasing out. Redevelopment of the 300-acre site would have no new
environmental impacts as opposed to other parts of the community. It is an opportunity to
incorporate the chain of lakes into the rest of the community. The property is close to
recreational amenities such as the Shadow Cliffs Regional Park. The Ponderosa project has
reserved about 22 acres on its eastern boundary as a potential school site. He noted the BART
station to the north and the ACE train station to the south and he noted the possibility of working
out different options of getting residents on this property to those locations. He suggested a
transit-oriented lane be built into the circulation system. In looking at the various options for
compatible land uses, he suggested residential and mixed use opportunities such as residential
units above retail uses. He described options for development in various locations.

Paul White, Kiewit Construction, 1000 Kiewit Plaza, Omaha, Nebraska 68131, indicated
Kiewit wanted to be involved in the update process and would be available for questions.
