<br />MINUTES <br />OF THE <br />MEETING <br />OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />January 3, 2006 <br /> <br />6:30 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br />Conference (status update) with legal counsel concerning claims of the FERMA <br />Corporation - Callippe Preserve Golf Course. <br /> <br />Conference with legal counsel concerning the workers compensation claim of Scott <br />Busby. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:11 p.m. <br />Councilmember Brozosky led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br />Mr. Brozosky announced Council and the Planning Commission would hold a joint <br />General Plan Workshop on January 24 at 6:30 p.m. to continue its discussion on land use <br />issues. He informed residents Wheels Bus Route 605 began shortly before the holidays, which <br />provides public transportation to and from Amador Valley High School for students living in the <br />Nielsen Park/Camp Drive/Mohr Avenue area of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br />City Clerk Dawn Abrahamson called the roll, which was recorded as follows: <br />Council members present were Steve Brozosky, Cindy McGovern, Matt Sullivan, and Mayor <br />Hosterman. Staff members present were: Nelson Fialho, City Manager; Michael Roush, City <br />Attorney; Steven Bocian, Assistant City Manager; Jerry Iserson, Director of Planning and <br />Community Development; Rob Wilson, Director of Public Works; and Tessa Burns, Disaster <br />Coordinator. <br /> <br />Councilmember Thorne was absent and excused. <br /> <br />3.
