MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> June 7, 2005 <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Hosterman at 7:05 <br />p.m. Mr. Brozosky led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brozosky reminded the community that today is Election Day in Pleasanton and <br />encouraged registered voters to exercise its right to vote. He invited the community to attend <br />the Budget Workshop to be held on Wednesday, June 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers. <br />Council will review and discuss the City's Operating and Capital Improvement Program budgets. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Dawn Abrahamson called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmembers present were Steve Brozosky, Cindy McGovern, Matt Sullivan, and Mayor <br /> Hosterman. Staff members present were: Nelson Fialho, City Manager; Michael Roush, City <br /> Attorney; Steven Bocian, Deputy City Manager; Jerry Iserson, Director of Planning and <br /> Community Development; Jim Wolfe, Director of Parks and Community Services; and Phil <br /> Grubstick, Assistant Director Public Works/City Engineer. <br /> <br />3. AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br /> Mr. Fialho noted the Pleasanton Housing Authority Board of Directors meeting was <br /> continued to June 21, 2005. He pointed out that two items had been added to the agenda: Item <br /> 4u, authorization for the Mayor to submit a letter to the City's State Assemblymembers in <br /> opposition to SB 435 (Density Bonus), and addendum to the agenda to add an item to the <br /> Closed Session regarding conference with real property negotiator, Nelson Fialho, concerning <br /> the potential purchase of real property with GE Corporation adjacent to Callippe Preserve Golf <br /> Course. <br /> <br /> At the request of Mr. Brozosky, agenda item 6d, General Plan update vision statement, <br /> was continued to June 21, 2005. <br /> <br />4. CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br /> Pat Belding, Chairperson, Citizens for a Caring Community, thanked Council for the <br /> proclamation declaring June 4 to June 12, 2005 as "Affordable Housing Week" in Pleasanton. <br /> She also thanked the City housing staff that has worked hard all year to plan housing and make <br /> use of the financial resources that are available.
