MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> February 15, 2005 <br /> <br />6:00 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conference with real property negotiator, Nelson Fialho, regarding the potential <br />purchase of the properly located at 4254 Vervais Avenue, Pleasanton, California. <br /> <br /> Conference (status update) with legal counsel concerning claims of the FERMA <br />Corporation - Callippe Preserve Goff Course. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Hosterman <br />at 7:01 p.m. Mr. Sullivan led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush reported on the Closed Session with real property negotiator, Nelson <br />Fialho, regarding the potential purchase of the property located at 4254 Vervais Avenue, <br />Pleasanton. He said that Council authorized staff to obtain an appraisal of the property. <br />After the appraisal is obtained, Council will meet again in Closed Session with the real <br />property negotiator. He reported that Council also met in Closed Session with legal <br />counsel concerning claims of the FERMA Corporation regarding the Callippe Preserve <br />Golf Course. Council will continue the Closed Session in this matter after the conclusion <br />of the Council meeting. <br /> <br /> Mr. Sullivan reminded the community of the Special Municipal Election which will <br />be held on June 7, 2005 to fill a vacant Council seat. The nomination period is February <br />14 through March 11, 2005. He encouraged the community to participate in this special <br />election. <br /> <br /> Mayor Hosterman extended condolences to the family of San Mateo County Fire <br />Captain Mark McCormick who died in the line of duty. She noted that the Livermore- <br />Pleasanton Fire Department would be sending a fire engine to the funeral services. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brozosky reported that he attended an East Bay Regional Park District <br />meeting.
