MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />March 2, 2004 <br /> <br />5:30 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Signature Properties, <br />et al. v. Pleasanton Unified School District). <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel concerning Pleasanton's potential participation in <br />pending litigation with Mardell LLC v. Terrasearch, et al. <br /> <br />Conference with legal counsel concerning pending litigation (Diridoni v. Stroh). <br /> <br />Discussion regarding process and timing for recruitment of City Manager. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico <br />at 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Campbell led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. He <br />introduced Carl Schlachte, a freshman at Amador High School, who participated in <br />Youth in Government Day. Carl mentioned that today is Election Day, with many <br />important issues to vote on. He encouraged everyone to vote. He recognized the high <br />sdhool students who participated in Youth in Government Day. The students participated <br />in activities that helped them learn about City government and the School District. <br /> <br />2. ROLLCALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Dawn Abrahamson called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Steve Brozosky, Matt Campbell, Jennifer <br />Hosterman, and Mayor Tom Pico. Staffmembers present were: Deborah McKeehan, <br />City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Dawn Abrahamson, City Clerk; Nelson <br />Fialho, Deputy City Manager; Steven Bocian, Deputy City Manager; Brian Swit~, <br />Director of Planning and Community Development; Wayne Rasmussen, Principal <br />Planner; and Sue Rossi, Finance Director. <br /> <br />3.
