MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />January 6, 2004 <br /> <br />6:00 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Signature Properties, <br />et al. v. Pleasanton Unified School District.). <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico <br />at 7:08 p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Campbell led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. He <br />welcomed those in attendance to the meeting and wished everyone a Happy New Year. <br />He acknowledged his civic students who were in attendance and informed Council that <br />they would be involved in the design competition contest for the Bernal Property. The <br />students will be given a tour of the Bemal property and will have their designs available <br />for display at the Bernal Block Party. <br /> <br />2. ROLLCALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Dawn Abrahamson called the roll, which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Steve Brozosky, Matt Campbell, Jennifer <br />Hosterman, and Mayor Tom Pico. Staffmembers present were: Deborah McKeehan, <br />City Manager; Michael Roush, City Attorney; Dawn Abrahamson, City Clerk; Nelson <br />Fialho, Deputy City Manager; Steven Bocian, Deputy City Manager; Brian Swift, <br />Director of Plauning and Community Development; Jim Wolfe, Director of Parks and <br />Community Services; Sue Rossi, Finance Director; Dave Iremonger, Financial Services <br />Manager/Treasurer; Wayne Rasmussen, Principal Planner; and Mark Spiller, Community <br />Services Manager. <br /> <br />3.
