MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />November 5, 2002 <br /> <br />6:30 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel regarding pending litigation (Alisal Improvement Club vs. <br />Alameda County LAFCO). <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Tom Pico at 7:05 <br />p.m. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Michelotti led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. She indicated <br />one of our most important duties and responsibilities as American citizens is to vote in elections. <br />The polls are open until 8:00 p.m. and she urged those who had not yet voted to exercise their <br />fight. She said she had truly enjoyed her tenure on the Council. She had seen the community <br />grow over the years and she encouraged people to be involved in grassroots efforts. She urged <br />people to put aside differences and to do their best for the entire community. She wished good <br />luck to all the candidates and thanked them for the courage to mn for office. Again, she urged <br />everyone to be involved whether on the soccer field or by running for office. <br /> <br />2. ROLL CALL <br /> <br /> City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers <br />present were Kay Ayala, Matt Campbell, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti and Mayor Tom <br />Pico. Staff members present were: Deborah McKeehan, City Manager; Michael Roush, City <br />Attorney; Phillip Grubstick, Interim Director of Public Works-Engineering; Jeff Knowles, <br />Deputy Director/Transportation; and Kathy Maio, Senior Librarian for Children. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />There were none. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 1 11/05/02 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
